About Me

Hi, Iā€™m Amy! I started my career in the helping professions at McMaster University in the BScN Nursing Program and have been working as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years in the mental health field. I earned my certification in mental health nursing and have extensive knowledge, skills and experience working with individuals with various mental health challenges including complex grief.

I am a Mother of two busy girls and in my spare time, I enjoy travelling, self-care time supporting local businesses, and going for walks with my spouse and our golden retriever pup. I also volunteer with Bridge C-14, a national organization that provides peer-to- peer connections for those navigating all stages of medical assistance in dying (MAiD).

I was drawn to death care support through my professional experience working with clients accessing MAiD and seeing the challenges for them navigating a complex healthcare system with limited supports. I find it rewarding to walk with my clients and help them through their journey. I value client choice and educating my community on seeing death as simply an extension of life.
